Mair TV was formed on January 31st 2015 by Joel Patterson and Lewis Heffernan. Apparently they were just messing around and watching TV and chatting when the idea just came to them they made the 1st documentary called Kyle Mair A life story. The opening episode attracted many viewers. The Second Episode was aired the next day and that was when Mair TV was formed. Joel Patterson straight away started planning another documentary. The New documentary was called The Highs and Lows of Kyle Mair the series was billed as a 5 part documentary series to run in Late February but the series was scrapped before the first episode even aired. In March Joel planned a possible new series called Kyle Mair Unmasked the idea was popular with the board of directors. The episode was meant to be based on Kyle Mair looking back on his life and revisiting the arenas and venues but the idea had to be scrapped after Kyle Mair refused to participate. In April 2015 Mair TV mainly focused on planning and then in Mid May the second series of Kyle Mair A life Story was aired this time consisting of six episodes all of which had very high viewing numbers except episode six. On May 15th just after episode four had aired Mair TV announced that they were axing Kyle Mair A Life Story with Patterson saying "It has done us well but nothing can go on forever, I promised myself that I would finish the series before it went downhill, as it is starting to go down hill now it is time to call it a day, we thank the fans for all your support and encouragement to continue the series. The Next day on May 16th Mair TV announced a brand new show would be aired un related to Kyle Mair in any way, They announced that they were creating a documentary called Harry Munro out of Korea a 3 part series to be aired on the week of the 25-29th May. On May 18th the day that the final Kyle Mair A life Story went up Mair TV announced that they were making Kyle Mair The Movie. On 24th May they announced on there Facebook page that the release date had been Set for December 12th 2015. On May 25th it was leaked from within Mair TV Headquarters that they were planning a Mair TV Christmas show which would see the return of hit documentary Kyle Mair A Life Story. They are also planning a special episode in for January of Next Year to celebrate the first anniversary of Mair TV. Joel Patterson said in an interview on May 27th "Kyle Mair A Life Story will return at Christmas and for the first anniversary" upon asking what the future held beyond the 1st anniversary he replied "If The Movie is a success, I think we would consider a sequel and possibly or even a third to complete the trilogy, It doesn't look likely that we will be returning to documentary's any time soon as we have now moved on to the next stage". However, despite initial optimism surrounding the movie a combination of cast illnesses, technical difficulties and footage being lost the film eventually came to nothing and despite several attempts to get it up and running the idea was formally scrapped in March 2016. After several years of proposed resurrection's, the revamp finally arrived out of the blue in the form of a new episode of Kyle Mair: A Life Story. This feature length special was the pilot for a brand new series set to air in early 2019, the series will help build the anticipation for the release of a boxset later in 2019.
